“The moment I saw Iqbal painted blue, it became so difficult for me to stay serious” says Gulki Joshi of Sony SAB’s Yaadein
Sony SAB’s Yaadein continues to keep viewers emotionally invested with its heartfelt storytelling, light moments, and Dr Dev Mehta’s (Iqbal Khan) journey of rediscovering himself after losing eight years of his memory, including his divorce from his wife, Dr Srishty (Gulki Joshi). Chaos at the hospital continues to grow as new medical mysteries leave the doctors confused and searching for answers.
In the recent track, audiences witnessed an emotional gesture by Dr Dev who painted his face blue to comfort a blue-skinned girl and make her feel accepted, reminding her that she is not alone. While the scene translated beautifully on-screen, the atmosphere behind the scenes was filled with laughter. Iqbal Khan’s completely blue-painted look had everyone on set amused, especially co-star Gulki Joshi, who found it impossible to keep a straight face during their scenes. The intense process of getting the look right took considerable effort, but once Iqbal stepped onto the set in full blue makeup, the mood instantly lightened. Between takes, the cast and crew couldn’t stop laughing, turning an otherwise emotional shoot day into one filled with fun memories.

Talking about the lighthearted moments, Gulki Joshi shared, “The scene was actually very cute, the moment I saw Iqbal completely painted blue, it became so difficult for me to stay serious. Every time we started the scene, I would somehow end up laughing again. What made it even funnier was how seriously Iqbal was performing while the rest of us were trying so hard to control ourselves. Even during intense scenes, we always find moments that make the whole atmosphere light and enjoyable.”
Tune in to watch Yaadein, every Monday to Saturday at 8 PM, only on Sony SAB
