From Dronacharya to their real-life Guru: The young cast of Hastinapur Ke Veer surprises Jiten Lalwani on Teacher’s Day

Sony SAB’s Hastinapur Ke Veer brings alive the timeless Guru-Shishya bond through Guru Dronacharya (Jiten Lalwani) and his students, a relationship built on learning, discipline and guidance. This Teacher’s Day, the young cast of the show decided to bring that bond to life off screen as they came together to surprise Jiten Lalwani with chocolates and heartfelt cards as a token of their appreciation.

The young actors, who share a special bond with Jiten on the sets, planned the surprise to thank him for the guidance and support he extends to them while shooting. From helping them understand their scenes and performances to sharing advice and encouraging them through challenging sequences, Jiten has become a mentor to the young actors both on and off screen. The celebration brought together the show’s reel-life Guru and his young Shishyas for a warm moment filled with smiles, chocolates and handwritten messages.

Jiten Lalwani who plays Dronacharya, shares, “Teacher’s Day is always special, but this surprise from my young co-actors made it even more memorable. When you play Dronacharya, you naturally think about the responsibility of being a Guru, but working with these young actors has also taught me so much. Seeing them grow more confident with every scene and knowing that they value the little things I share with them is incredibly fulfilling. The chocolates and cards were such a sweet gesture, but the love behind the surprise is what I will remember the most.”

Athar Khan who plays Yudhishthir, shares, “We wanted to do something special for Jiten sir because he is like our Guru on set too. He always helps us when we are confused about a scene and tells us how we can make our performance better. We thought chocolates and cards would be a nice surprise for him because he always takes care of us like a teacher. His reaction when we surprised him was the best part!”

Urva Savaliya who plays Arjun, shares, “Jiten sir is always very encouraging towards us. If we are nervous before a scene, he tells us to relax and just enjoy performing. I think that is something really nice about him because he makes us feel comfortable on set. I was excited to make a card for him because Teacher’s Day was a chance for us to tell him that we are thankful for all his support.”
