From grandfather’s book to grandmother’s saree, the cast of Pushpa Impossible shares the family heirlooms closest to their hearts

Sony SAB’s Pushpa Impossible explores the many emotions that come with family, relationships and difficult choices. In the current track, Shanaya (Muskan Bamne) takes a difficult decision to sell her family property, bringing the emotional value of things passed down through generations into focus.

While the storyline explores the significance of family possessions and the memories attached to them, the cast reflected on the heirlooms they hold close in their own lives. For them, these objects are not defined by their monetary worth but by the people, memories and stories they carry with them.

Talking about family heirlooms Karuna Pandey who essays the role of Pushpa shared, “For me, family heirlooms are special because of the stories and emotions attached to them. It could be something very simple that has been in the family for years, but when you know where it came from and who it belonged to, it automatically becomes precious. I think these little things keep our memories and family stories alive.”

Muskaan Bamne who essays the role of Shanaya, said, “I have a book that belonged to my grandfather, and it is very close to my heart. It may seem like a simple thing but knowing that it belonged to him and has stayed with our family makes it special. Every time I see it, it reminds me of him and the memories associated with him.”

Nitin Babu who essays the role of Chirag, said, “One thing that holds a lot of sentimental value for me is something that belonged to my family and has been passed down over the years, a spinning wheel or charkha. For me, that’s what makes an heirloom truly meaningful. It becomes a little piece of your family’s history that I get to carry forward.”

Deeksha Joshi who essays the role of Deepti shared, “My grandmother’s saree is very special to me. My mother wore it first, and then I got to wear the same saree when I was in college. So, it carries memories of both my mother and my grandmother, which makes it even more precious to me.”

Akshaya Hindalkar who essays the role of Rashi, shared, “My mother-in-law gave me an anklet that she had received from her mother-in-law. So it has already travelled through generations before reaching me. It feels very special because it carries a beautiful connection between the women in our family, and I hope to keep that tradition going.”
