Star Plus continues its tradition of delivering emotionally powerful and engaging content with its new show, Pocket Mein Aasmaan. Known for narrating compelling tales that resonate deeply with a wide range of audiences, Star Plus introduces an inspiring narrative with its latest venture. The show to showcase the journey of Rudrani, fondly addressed as Rani, played by Abhika Malakar, an expecting mother who desires to have it all—love, career, and motherhood. Faced with a difficult choice from her husband, Digvijay (portrayed by Farman Haider), who insists she choose between pursuing her career or embracing motherhood, Rani refuses to give up on either. With resilience and determination, she sets out to find a way to balance both aspirations, proving that it’s possible for a woman to thrive in both her personal and professional life. Her character of Rani will resonate with the viewers, especially women who understand the complexities of balancing family and career.
Farman Haider, who previously gained recognition in Saavi Ki Savaari, stars as Digvijay and will bring his charm and depth to the portrayal of Digvijay. His pairing with Abhika Malakar has already sparked excitement among viewers, who are eagerly anticipating the fresh dynamic they will bring to the screen. The on-screen chemistry between the two is bound to add a new layer of warmth and freshness to the show, leaving the audience hooked on to their television screens.
Farman Haider, aka Digvijay, from the Star Plus show Pocket Mein Aasmaan shares, “Pocket Mein Aasmaan is a very different and unconventional tale, and this is where our show stands out, as Rani, the lead girl of the show, is pregnant, so it’s interesting to see the point of view of a pregnant woman who then goes on to study and stands very different from the normal main lead girl. During adolescence, all of us have that young angst; I try to remember that and bring it to the character of Digvijay, that angst and fury, in order to get into the skin of the character. The challenge for Rani in the show is that despite being an expecting mother, she wants to not let that slow her down; she still wants to aim for all her dreams, and what makes her life more troublesome is Digvijay, her husband, who tells her to choose one, either pregnancy or career. I think it is time we show the world through our show Pocket Mein Aasmaan that there’s nothing that girls and women can’t do; if they want to be a mother and ace their careers, they can do that. Digvijay, my character, is basically our society and the people that tell women they can’t do it all; it’ll be interesting to watch her prove him wrong!”
Produced by Boyhood Productions, Pocket Mein Aasmaan is an emotionally compelling journey of Rani about breaking societal barriers and challenging the norms that women face. This captivating story, which highlights the resilience of a woman determined to pursue her dreams, will soon air on Star Plus, promising to deliver an unforgettable viewing experience.
