Shalini Passi Defends Vivian, Calls Out Housemates for being insensitive: “OCD ye bhi ek coping mechanism hota hai”
In a recent Bigg Boss episode, Shalini Passi shed light on a crucial mental health topic — Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) — while supporting Vivian, who has been criticized and accused of faking his condition. Her remarks earned appreciation from netizens, who praised her for bringing much-needed attention to the seriousness of OCD.
It began when Bigg Boss asked the housemates, “Shalini, Apni aadat ko lekar apni cheezo ko lekar bahut hi particular hai. Mujhe aisa kyu lag raha hai ki ghar main bhi aisa ek sadasya hai? Kon hai wo?” The housemates quickly pointed to Vivian.
Vivian then opened up, explaining, “Ek chiz jise mujhe problem hai, jo main personally bhi follow karta hu ki agar main kuch kha raha hu ya meri plate main koi khana hai, so usme kiska jhutha spoon mujhe zara bhi pasand nahi hai. Isliye main pehle bol deta hu ki agar kisi ko chahiye toh bolo, main clean spoon se apko apni plate main hisa de dunga.”
Shalini could relate and shared her own experience, saying, “Ek baar kisi ne mere khane me, jab main desserts khati thi, kisi ne mere ek dish se ek dessert le liya tha. Us insaan se maine phir do saal tak baat nahi kari.” She further praised Vivian for his discipline, saying, “So my boy, you are on your road to greatness. One day you will become like me, completely OCD.”
Shalini also highlighted the emotional root of OCD, explaining, “OCD ye bhi ek coping mechanism hota hai. Toh may be inko kuch life me, kuch incident hua hoga, jo inko hurt kara hoga bachpan me ya school me. Ye coping mechanism hota hai, jo hame save rakhta hai.”
Her words struck a chord with viewers, who applauded Shalini for her empathetic approach and for raising awareness about OCD. Fans appreciated her for supporting Vivian, who has faced mockery in the house for his habits. This thoughtful moment has reignited conversations about mental health and how it should be treated with care and respect.
