Renowned music producer Ikky is back with his latest single, “I Like You,” a heartfelt tribute to the late Punjabi pop legend, Soni Pabla. Following the massive success of “She’s the One” in 2022, this new release blends Soni Pabla’s timeless charm with Ikky’s vibrant, modern production style, creating a track that resonates with both new listeners and longtime fans.

“I Like You” captures the warmth and soulful magic of Soni Pabla’s vocals while pairing it with catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics. The accompanying visualizer perfectly balances nostalgia with fresh, engaging visuals, offering fans a deeper connection to the music.

Speaking about the single, Ikky shares, “This is the follow-up to ‘She’s the One,’ and it continues my tribute to the legacy of one of South Asia’s greatest gifts to music, Soni Pabla. Ikky also opened up about his personal connection with the late singer. “Soni Pabla was one of the pioneers of Punjabi pop and a true idol of mine while growing up. Seeing his global impact was incredibly inspiring, especially as he hailed from Toronto, just like me. Through the support of Sarbjit Saroya, I’m honored to carry his legacy forward and keep the joy of his music alive.”

Ikky’s influence in Punjabi music continues to grow. He recently made waves with his Punjabi Takeover Radio segment on Apple Music and is currently touring globally with Karan Aujla. Having completed performances in Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, Ikky is now gearing up for the Indian leg of the tour in December 2024.
