‘Housefull 5’ actress Soundarya Sharma leads by example, all set to celebrate another Diwali cracker-free to ensure safety for animals and birds!

Actress Soundarya Sharma is on a roll and how. The vibrant beauty is slowly and steadily climbing the ladder of success higher and higher to attain the pinnacle of stardom and popularity and well, her consistent efforts and go-getter attitude are certainly leading her towards the right direction. After having been a part of Bigg Boss 16 alongside some other projects, Soundarya is currently in a blissful space professionally as we are all set to see her next in Housefull 5 as a lead alongside Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez and others.

In real life, Soundarya has always been a person of benevolent nature and being the kind of animal lover that she is, she’s always done her best to make it a better world for animals. Being a pet mom herself, she understands the emotional quotient of animals and no wonder, we aren’t surprised with her big decision for this Diwali. Yes, that’s right.

Soundarya Sharma has decided to continue her pledge to have ‘cracker-free’ Diwali festivals. This means that this year as well, she will be celebrating Diwali without crackers. On being asked more about the same, she said,

“For me, it’s very simple. My celebration, if it comes at the cost of someone’s life being endangered, I don’t want that kind of celebration. While I can’t force people to have a cracker-free Diwali, I can certainly do my bit to influence the people who follow me and my ethical values. While the crackers do infinite harm to our environment in terms of pollution and other stuff, it is no less than ‘poison’ for animals. Be it the noise of crackers or the pollution, everything is terrifying for animals, especially the less unfortunate living on streets. Also, we have heard innumerable occasions of crackers misfiring ending up killing animals and birds. I too have had my share of Diwali with crackers but later when my awareness increased, I stopped Diwali with crackers entirely and hence, this year as well, it’s not different for me. I wish all my fans and admirers a very Happy Diwali and may everyone have a safe Diwali and be more compassionate towards animals and the less fortunate. May God bless us all.”

On the work front, apart from Housefull 5, Soundarya Sharma has also signed a 3-film deal, the details of which are yet to come soon.
