Meet Anuj Saini! Bollywood’s new boy-next-door who’s set to steal hearts in Aayushmati Geeta Matric Pass

Actor Anuj Saini, who kickstarted his journey as a theatre artist is all set to make a powerful impact with his debut Bollywood film ‘Aayushmati Geeta Matric Pass’. This heartwarming film, based on the theme of women empowerment, revolves around how the male protagonist goes against all odds to educate his wife. The trailer of the film was launched on September 28 at DY Patil Institute, Pune. Ever since it landed on social media, it has been receiving good response. From the first frame, Saini shines in his boy-next-door role. His role is a true green flag as someone who supports the woman he loves till the end of the journey.

“I did my first song with Prradip Khairwar. Since then, whatever projects I’d take on or auditions I’d give, I’d send my clip from it to Prradip sir to get feedback from him. When he planned to make a film, I was in his mind. He narrated it to me, and that is how I got on board,” he revealed, adding, “I stayed in Banaras to get the UP dialect, observed people there, imbibed their fashion and added a touch of me to it as per the film’s character.” Talking about his journey, Saini said, “When I came to Mumbai, I knew no body. It took me six months to figure out where do we go to audition. As of now, I have given more than 3000 auditions. I’ve won some and failed at some, but all of it has been a great learning process.”

Previously, Saini was seen in a critically acclaimed Rajkumar Santoshi directorial ‘Gandhi Godse – Ek Yudh’. He has predominantly worked in theatre with the legendary Pankaj Kapur, and Rajat Kapoor among others. He has also featured in advertisements for well-known brands. He has shared screen space with Alia Bhatt, and Janhvi Kapoor among others in brand endorsements. Apart from ads, the actor featured in several chartbuster songs such as the viral ‘Vaaste’, ‘Mere Angne Me’, ‘Mainu Das Tu’ and more.

Meanwhile, Anuj Saini’s ‘Aayushmati Geeta Matric Pass’ is helmed by director Prradip Khairwar, and is slated for a theatrical release on October 18, this year.
