Shreya Ghoshal Makes Her Kaun Banega Crorepati debut with Sonu Nigam; Host Amitabh Bachchan Encourages her saying, “Sonu bade guuni aur gyaani hai. If you ever feel stuck, look at Sonu for some inspiration”

This Friday, the legendary Amitabh Bachchan will host celebrated figures from the music industry, Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam on the much-loved quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati, on Sony Entertainment Television. Known for their remarkable contribution to Indian music, Shreya and Sonu have collaborated on 127 songs and have shared a professional relationship for over 25 years.

This episode marks Shreya Ghoshal’s debut on the famed hotseat, and an excited yet nervous Shreya addresses megastar Amitabh Bachchan, saying, “Be it the hot seat or you as the host, this prestigious platform is deeply connected to all our lives. And receiving the opportunity to come on the show today not only makes me feel nervous but excited as well. My entire family, including myself, holds you in great affection. My sister, Indrani Ghoshal, has also been a contestant on Season 1 of KBC and it was a celebratory moment for us when she participated. We felt immensely proud of her then, and now that I’m here, everyone at home is praying for me.”

In an attempt to put her at ease, Mr Bachchan said, “Sonu has been here before and played very well; I was amazed by the way he answered the questions. Sonu bade guuni aur gyaani hai. If you ever feel stuck, Shreya, then look at Sonu for some inspiration.”

Sonu Nigam humorously responded, saying, “Even though I’ve come on the show before, seeing how nervous Shreya is, I’m starting to feel the same.”

In the episode, Sonu Nigam also reflects on his long association with Shreya Ghoshal, noting that he has witnessed her growth from the very beginning of her career till date when she has become one of the most celebrated singers in the country.
