Music School: New song ‘IIT to MIT’ depicts the persistent pressure of parents on students in a fun and entertaining way

The makers of the upcoming Ilaiyaraaja musical ‘Music School’ have released the fourth song from the film titled ‘IIT to MIT, my son will go’.

Recently the trailer of Paparao Biyyala’s upcoming film Music School was launched in Mumbai offering insights into the relatable and entertaining storyline of young kids succumbing to parental and societal pressure for studies. The trailer begins with an obsessive mother played by Mona Ambegaonkar pestering her son to study hard, dictating plans for his future without his interest into consideration.

The recently launched song ‘IIT TO MIT’ further throws light on the maddening stress and pressure put on the young kids in order to fulfil the stereotypical standards of education.

Composed by music maestro Ilaiyaraaja, IIT to MIT is sung by Anitha Karthikeyan, RS Rakthaksh, L Vasudevan alongwith kids chorus by Mithushree Vidhyaroopini, Tanushree, K. Smriti, Monika R, R.S. Rakthaksh, Pavithra Balaji, Hrithik Jayakish, Vaishnavi Maluta, to lyrics penned by Shivani Tibrewala, Dr. Sagar and Raman Raghuvanshi. The upbeat song is choreographed by Chinni Prakash.

Music School is a multi-lingual musical film with a total of 11 songs, of which three have been interwoven from the classic Broadway musical ‘The Sound of Music’. Tracing the story of a music and a drama teacher striving to set a musical play of The Sound of Music, fighting against the parental pressure, Music School deals with an extremely sensitive and important subject in an entertaining and musical manner.

Directed and produced by IAS officer turned filmmaker Paparao Biyyala, the musical film employs an ace team of technicians.

The grandeur look of the film was captured by ace cinemotographer Kiran Deohans. The cast includes Shriya Saran, Sharman Joshi and Prakash Raj in leading roles in addition to debutant Ozu Barua and Gracy Goswamy in critical roles. Other cast comprises of Benjamin Gilani, Suhasini Mulay, Mona Ambegaonkar, Leela Samson, Bugs Bhargava, Vinay Varma, Sreekanth Iyengar, Vaquar Sheikh, Phani and many other child actors.

Presented by Yamini Films, Hyderabad, this multi-lingual film is shot in Hindi and Telugu, and dubbed in Tamil. It is releasing on 12th May 2023 by PVR in Hindi – Tamil and Dil Raju in Telugu.
