Sharman Joshi kick starts the city visit campaign for Music School: Students enjoy Ilaiyaraaja’s musical before the release, give a thumb up!

Ahead of the theatrical release of the upcoming Ilaiyaraaja musical film ‘Music School’ produced and directed by Paparao Biyyala, the makers organised a special screening of the film at Shiv Nadar University in Delhi, attended by the leading actor Sharman Joshi in addition to Paparao Biyyala. A total of over 200 students attended the screening and heaped praises on the Shriya Saran- Sharman Joshi starrer film.

At the special screening, over 200 students across the age groups of 18 to 23 years from different departments including Engineering, Humanities, Natural Scienes and Management interacted with actor Sharman Joshi and director and producer Paparao Biyyala. Resonating with the subject of the film, the students engaged in a conversation with the film team as they showered their love.

Music School is a musical narration of the sensitive and prevailing concern of academic pressure subjected to young students by the society, parents and teachers. With eleven songs in the film, three of them have been recreated from The Sound of Music, situationally woven beautifully in the film to suit the sensibilities of the Indian audience.

Unveiled by South star Vijay Deverakonda, the trailer of Music School was launched in the presence of the cast and crew of the film in Mumbai on Tuesday, 25th April.

Starring Shriya Saran and Sharman Joshi as music and drama teachers respectively, the trailer shows the duo attempting to put together a musical play ‘The Sound of Music’ with the young artists including Gracy Goswami and Ozu Barua, amongst others. Tracing the struggles of a music and drama teacher to promote performing arts for children amidst the immense academic pressure subjected by the parents, teachers and society, the trailer takes the audience on a musical journey.

Producers and distributors are planning several shows before its release on 12 th May for schools and colleges including a screening at JNU, Delhi on 8th May.

Presented by Yamini Films, Hyderabad, this multi-lingual film is shot in Hindi and Telugu, and dubbed in Tamil. It is releasing on 12th May 2023 by PVR in Hindi – Tamil and Dil Raju in Telugu.
