Pawsome celebrations: COLORS’ actors share heartwarming stories about their beloved pets on National Pet Day
Eisha Singh who is essaying the role of Bela in COLORS’ ‘Bekaaboo’ says, “I always thought I was a dog person until I met my four feline cuties who stole my heart and taught me that love knows no boundaries. It’s true what they say, one cat always leads to another. That’s how I have a full-fledged cat family now. Amongst the four, Ginni and Simba are the mom and dad of little bundles of fluff, Gucci, and Prada. My cats are all very gentle and they don’t claw people who hold them. They have dog-like traits! This is true, especially for Simba and Prada. Simba loves to go out often and meet new people and Prada is very emotional. This is because they receive a lot of attention from everyone, especially from my mother who keeps talking to them and that’s why they think of themselves as dogs! Life without cats? I don’t think so. For me, they’re not just pets, they’re family. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Anchal Sahu who is essaying the role of Parineet in COLORS’ ‘Parineetii’ says, “Having a cat as a pet is like having a miniature tiger in your home and that’s how my ‘tiger’ got his name! This little soul has brought an abundance of happiness to my life. I cannot describe the joy and excitement I feel every time I’m with him. He has a way of making every day special. It’s as if he has a magical power that brings out the best in me. I truly believe that he’s a gift from the universe; a little angel sent to brighten up my days. He’s a reminder that life is precious and worth living to the fullest. Every moment spent with him is filled with laughter, cuddles, and unconditional love. As long as he’s by my side, I’ll never feel alone or sad. He’s a true blessing. Every day is a pet day with him!”
Shalin Bhanot who portrays the character of Ranav in COLORS’ ‘Bekaaboo’ urges people to adopt pets and give them a loving home. Speaking about his pet dog ‘Swag’, he said, “During the lockdown, someone abandoned ‘Swag’ somewhere in Ghatkopar and after 20 days I found out about him. That’s when I decided to adopt him. He has been an integral part of my life ever since we rescued him and has been my biggest support after my parents. If you’re thinking of bringing a furry friend into your life, consider adopting a pet. It is a wonderful way to provide a loving home to an animal in need! My four-legged star is my family and I love him to the moon and back! Here’s sending best wishes to you and all your furry angels.”
Reem Sameer Shaikh who is essaying the role of Esha in COLORS’ ‘Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal’ says, “There’s something magical about having a cat as a pet. They’re cute, elegant, and sometimes a little mischievous. They’re also fiercely loyal, protective, and loving. Our cats may not be able to roar, but they can certainly command our attention and affection. One such attention-seeker is my ‘Romeo’, and I can’t be more grateful for having him in my life. I still remember the day I had entered the house at 3:00 AM in the morning along with Romeo. My mom wasn’t happy with him initially but now she loves him more than me. I love bringing him on the sets of ‘Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal’. He makes my life feel so complete and amazing just by existing. Today, let’s celebrate the majestic beauty of our feline companions and the special bond we share with them.”
Tanvi Dogra who is essaying the role of Neeti in COLORS’ ‘Parineetii’ says, “There’s a reason why a dog is called a man’s best friend. They’re loyal, protective, and always so happy to see us. Owning a pet dog is one of the most rewarding experiences. They have an unwavering love for their owners and bring immense joy to our lives. ‘Oscar’ is my constant companion and my best friend. He is always there to cheer me up and make me feel loved. Whether we’re taking him for a walk, cuddling with him on the couch, or playing fetch in the yard, my furry companion always brings us endless joy. On this special day, I will treat Oscar with a new toy. I wish every pet lover a very Happy Pet’s Day!”
