“In a world where everything is readymade, I still prefer to make traditional homemade mithai for Diwali” says Rachana Mistry from Star Bharat’s ‘Na Umra Ki Seema Ho’

With festivals coming around the corner the lead actor of Star Bharat’s ‘Na Umra Ki Seema Ho’ Rachana Mistry shares her plans for Diwali festival. Rachana Mistry who plays the role of Vidhi opposite Iqbal Khan I the show speaks about the excitement of celebrating this Diwali with her on set family and how she keeps up with the tradition of preparing mithai on Diwali in the era where everything is readymade available.

She says, “”In a world where everything is readymade, I still prefer to make traditional homemade mithai for Diwali, the world is going fast forward and somewhere in this fast life we forget to enjoy our time to the fullest and specially during the festival times. I believe no matter what we should still keep up with the traditions and enjoy the time of festival specially Diwali like old times and doing the same I always celebrate my Diwali with every year ritual of cleaning the house and making mithais at home along with my mother. I love to make all types of Diwali delicacies from making ‘Karanji’ which is my favourite to making ‘Soan Papdi’ and ‘Besan ke ladoo’.

She further adds, ““This Diwali is going to be special because I’m going to be celebrating it on set with the Na Umra ki Seema ho family. My Diwali ritual being making rangolis outside my home. Since I’ll be shooting this year so there’s not going to be any specific shopping because of tight schedule just two sets for Lakshmi pooja and new year.
