The week that was and the week that is! Here is a look back at Sony TV’s Kaun Banega Crorepati 14’s greatest moments this week and the upcoming week’s brilliant hotseat guests

Sony Entertainment Television’s Kaun Banega Crorepati- season 14 has been welcoming contestants from different walks of life this week as well. Looking at the week that was, the show hosted contestants like a sportswoman as well as a customs officer! Hosted by the effervescent actor, the legendary Mr Amitabh Bachchan, the show had some charming moments and some that left us amazed. It even had it’s second ‘Dhan Amrit’ winner, the first woman to win 75 lacs in the show. From the pink city Jaipur, Rajasthan, 53-year-old Sudhir Sharma who is the Superintendent of Customs, CGST and Central Excise, engaged Mr Bachchan in some great conversations. From the beautiful town of Thrissur, Kerala Anu Anna Varghese, a dermatologist by profession graced the hot seat and not only that but also won the ‘Dhan Amrit’ amount of 75 lacs. 26-year-old weightlifter Komal Gupta graced the hotseat after winning the fastest finger first. She has performed at 33 state-level and 22 national-level championships. The sportswoman not only impressed Mr Bachchan but also was surprised when her idol, Mirabai Chanu contacted her through video call during the show and in the end took home 50 lacs. The week ended with ‘PlayAlong Shukravaar’ contestant Saurabh Shekhar from Vapi, Gujarat, the Deputy Manager in a textile company who played the game of wit and gave well-reasoned and logical answers.

The upcoming week will not only be special but grandly so! Celebrating India’s success in the recently held Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, the show would be welcoming weightlifting champion, Saikhom Mirabai Chanu and Boxing World Champion Nikhat Zareen, both of whom are returning gold medallists. The duo will be engaging with the host in quite the interesting conversation, ranging right from their experience in the Games, to how they began in their career. Not only that but following them would be the impressive Krishna Das from Bhubaneshwar, Orrisa who is the Chief Commercial Inspector in East Coast Railway and brought Shree Jagannath Temple, Puri’s special offerings for the host to have. On Wednesday witness the spectacular gameplay of Harsh Poddar from Delhi, who would enthral everybody with his logical reasoning of answers and have quite the fun banter with Mr Bachchan. In tow would be Rajani Mishra from Durgapur, West Bengal who would also be playing the game brilliantly with a calm and composed mindset. Not only that but her words would charm the host and the audience, as she would bind her beautiful thoughts in them.
