“Kangana Ranaut is a chameleon who merges into the colors of her character” :Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari
In her career, Kangana Ranaut has played a variety of memorable characters. Right from nailing her role in fashion to winning hearts with “Tanu weds Manu” to her strong female character in “Queen”.
This year too Kangana is all geared up to win everyone’s hearts with “Thalaivi” a biopic on actress turned politician Late Jayalalithaa. From learning Bharatnatyam to gaining weight, Kangana is pulling all stops to nail the character and audience loved her latest look from the film.
One such person who is all praises for Kangana is director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, who also directed Panga.
When spoken to her she said, “Kangana is an actress who will go to any lengths for her character. She feels every character, she forgets that she is Kangana. She is a chameleon who merges into the colours of the character and that is amazing talent to have, to be protected.”
Ashwiny has worked with Kangana on “Panga” and the filmmaker decided to surprise her by visiting her on the sets of Thalaivi.
She adds “I went to surprise Kangana on the last day of her shoot of ‘Thalaivi’. She was doing the kathak sequence, whose picture was shared with the media. She had gained a lot of weight and I asked if she was competing with me and I jokingly told her that now we need to lose weight together”
