Four reasons why Sony Entertainment Television’s new show ‘Mose Chhal Kiye Jaye’ is sure to glue your eyes to the screen starting TONIGHT!
The Indian society warmly embraces various interpersonal and familial relationships that are strengthened over some time. While these relationships come with their form of urgency and priority, they also have their share of ups and downs. The phrases ‘sacrifice for your loved ones’ and ‘adjustments save relationships’ are heard a little too often in the course of these relationships. Women chasing their dreams as freely as men are conversational topics… but how long would it take for us to unflinchingly accept the concept of self-love and equality over patriarchy? With this core thought, Sony Entertainment Television has geared up to launch the new show – Mose Chhal Kiye Jaaye starting tonight, every Monday to Friday at 9.00 pm.
Below are the 4 reasons why Mose Chall Kiye Jaye should be on your ‘MUST WATCH’ list:
Attunement with self-empowerment
Indian daily soaps have followed the status quo of unrealistic plot narratives quite diligently, often villainising a career-driven woman. The show Mose Chhal Kiye Jaaye is a story that challenges this outlook with a powerful narrative of self-empowerment. The lead character Soumya played by Vidhi Pandya is a woman who will not submit to the patriarchal whims of an orthodox society. A woman who cannot let only her household duties define her, she has dreams that flow from the nib of her pen and she wants to become a writer. Saumya does not compromise on being a housewife, she wants to do both things, much like a man can multi-task. Through this, the show wants the viewers to see themselves in Saumya, someone who is headstrong and wants to live life according to her rules.
Women standing shoulder to shoulder with men
Often, we see soaps on Indian Television that show male characters that are independent and secure and who have been sketched to have a purpose in their life. The show Mose Chhal Kiye Jaye is a story of two opposite characters ‘Armaan’ played by Vijayendra Kumeria who doesn’t believe in the idea of women being equal to men and ‘Soumya’ played by Vidhi Pandya who wants to make space for herself in the male-dominated world where women are usually sidelined. The show will be a wake-up call to all men who think of women as inferior to them, whether it be within or beyond the threshold of the house.
Making a relationship work?
Soumya and Armaan are total opposites who share two different ideologies. These two polar opposites characters will be coming together and making a relationship work. How two people, poles apart try to have their marriage work through trials and tribulations is the plot drive. The two lead characters will show the viewers it’s the understanding between two people that takes to maintain a successful relationship and Soumya and Armaan will gradually bring that out to the viewers.
Reunion of a popular TV couple!
There is something about reunions that makes the heart happy, especially if it happens with you two favourite tv actors. Vijayendra Kumeria, who has previously romanced Vidhi Pandya in ‘Udaan’ will be seen reuniting with her for Mose Chall Kiye Jaaye. While the shows are starkly different, it will be interesting to see them both in these two new avatars opposite each other again after 8 years!
