‘Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii’: How will Dr. Vikrant Saxena’s entry affect Deepika?
Nilanjana Purkayasstha and Herumb Khot’s “Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii” is focussing on Dr. Deepika’s journey at the FMS hospital. Her past keeps haunting her now and then, and so far we know two things about her. First, she was asked to put aside her dream of becoming a surgeon and second, she was engaged to an acclaimed surgeon Dr. Vikrant Saxena but the wedding was called off. One can assume that Vikrant couldn’t take that his wife succeeds and achieves more than him and he must have put a condition in front of her to quit her job. And going by the current track it seems Dr. Deepika will come face to face with her past soon.
Another assumption that one can make is Jamshed can’t accept a woman at a high position in his hospital and thus he initially had a problem with Deepika’s hiring and now with Dr. Chakraborty suggesting to make her the head of ER, he wants a contestant from his side to compete at the meeting. He wants to get Dr. Vikrant onboard and gives him a rather lucrative offer once he realises that Dr. Vikrant and Dr. Deepika had a past.
He ensures that Dr. Vikrant comes face to face with Dr. Deepika while he is visiting FMS, but his plan succeeds when Deepika leaves for work, and Vikrant gets a glimpse of her while both are sitting in their respective vehicles. Well, Deepika hasn’t seen Vikrant yet. The only time she saw him was during a workshop when he was on a video call, and she got very uncomfortable.
It will be interesting to see what will happen when Vikrant will join FMS hospital and they will have to see each other every day. Also, Jamshed is strongly recommending Vikrant’s name as the head of ER and refuses to have Deepika as the head because he feels she is a woman and not capable enough to handle such situations. To know what happens next keep watching “Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii”.
