The report of Vandalism on the sets of Prakash Jha’s web series Ashram is very scary especially at a time when the media industry is trying to slowly gear up its production post-Covid Pandemic. Indian Film & TV Producers Council strongly condemns such atrocious and egregious incidents and requests the authorities to take appropriate punitive steps to totally eschew such attacks.

IFTPC has been insisting on the safety and security of the crew with many a state government. Though we have always been assured of the same, IFTPC notes with regret that the anti-social elements are having a field day. On one side the government is hailing the Film Industry as a Cultural Ambassador and eulogizing its contribution, on the other hand, a free run is given to such elements.

IFTPC requests the authorities, State, and Central to give their immediate attention and save the industry from being blatantly bulldozed. IFTPC sincerely hopes that sanity will prevail and the industry’s right to profession guaranteed under the constitution and creative freedom is restored with all sincerity and a fear-free industrial environment is provided to the Media Industry.
