Pandit says, “Every fan deserves to watch their Superstar’s film on the big screen”
Veteran Producer Anand Pandit’s 51st project, the edge-of-the-seat drama ‘Chehre’, struck a chord with audiences worldwide when it released earlier this year. But Maharashtra fans of the legendary Amitabh Bachchan didn’t get the opportunity to experience what is being called as one of his finest performances. But that was up until now. The minute Maharashtra reopened its cinema halls, the makers decided to re-release the film.
Anand Pandit says “When Bachchan Saab signed this project, I knew I would do everything in my capacity to ensure every fan of his enjoys his performance. We designed the film’s scale and production keeping with the stature of the megastar. Given that Maharashtra is one of the biggest markets I was sad that audiences across the state didn’t get to see it on the big screen. Now that it is possible, it was a split second decision to re-release it in the state.”
When Chehre released earlier this year, the makers received much appreciation for releasing it in theatres despite most states having strict lockdown rules. Even the film’s Amazon prime release received a stupendous response and set a new benchmark for OTT viewership.
‘Chehre’ is directed by Rumy Jafry and also stars Emraan Hashmi who plays a business tycoon with a complicated past. The ensemble cast includes Annu Kapoor, Krystle D’Souza, Drithiman Chakroborthy, Raghubir Yadav, and Siddhanth Kapoor. The film is produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures & Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited.
