Actor Amol Parashar wins Iconic Rising Star award, thanks industry and audience for all the love

Actor Amar Parashar is elated to have won the Iconic Rising Star award at the recently concluded Iconic Gold Awards. He says, “it feels great to be recognised for my talent and hard work.I am humbled to have received this award. It will motivate me to push the envelope. It’s a recognition of my acting skills, but it was made possible only because of the audience and the industry that accepted me with all their heart,” said the actor who started his Showbiz journey in the world of web series.

Amol Parashar made waves with his debut, TVF Tripling, a web series in which he garnered praise for his portrayal of Chitvan Sharma. While shooting for TVF Tripling, he was also shooting for Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, in which he starred opposite Konkana Sen Sharma. He played Osman in the film. Interestingly, both the characters (Chitvan and Osman) were diametrically opposite, and the shooting schedule overlapped. The simultaneous shooting meant Amol had to switch from one character to the other constantly. Despite that, Amol pulled off both these roles convincingly and impressed the critics and audience alike. The success of both these roles established Amol as a versatile actor.

“I am glad people showered their love on both the characters. That gave me the confidence to take more risks and avoid stereotyping. It also gave directors and producers the confidence to cast me in a variety of roles. I can’t be happier because that’s every actor’s dream,” says Amol, who will soon be seen as Bhagat Singh in Shoojit Sircar’s upcoming film Sardar Udham Singh.
