Raksha Bandhan quotes
Ishita Dutta aka Kajol (Thoda Sa Baadal, Thoda Sa Paani)
‘This year mostly for Raksha Bandhan I’ll be shooting and it’s a double celebration for me because it’s my mother’s birthday as well on 22nd August. So, I think if I get done early, then I can go home celebrate birthday with my mother and also celebrate Raksha Bandhan although my brothers are not in Bombay, they live in different parts of the country. Usually. do either a video call or I speak to them on phone. I have a Rakhi brother, who also unfortunately is not in Mumbai this year, otherwise usually he comes home, and I tie Rakhi to him, but this year because I knew he wouldn’t be there, and I would be busy shooting so I have already tied Rakhi to him. I definitely am going to have a lot of sweets and enjoy this festival. Happy Raksha Bandhan to all!!!’
Mishkat Varma aka Vikram (Thoda Sa Baadal, Thoda Sa Paani)
‘I have been blessed in every way possible having a sister like Mihika. We have fond memories of celebrating Raksha Bandhan with each other since childhood, but have only been able to celebrate over video calls since she moved abroad over 3-4 years ago. Mihika is an epitome of excellence for me. Be it academics or the TV industry, she has never failed in carving a niche for herself. And now that she has entered motherhood, I cannot wait to shower my baby nephew Izaan with all the love that she has given me over the years. I really hope I get to see them again soon. Until then, I wish the best of the world for her and Izaan.’
Akshay Kelkar aka Suresh (Nima Denzongpa)
‘Har saal mai aur meri behan Shraddha ham dono apne apne schedule ke hisaab se adjust kar ke jaroor ek dusre se milte hai, to celebrate and cherish our unique bond. Shayad iss saal hame milne me thodi der ho sakti hai kyunki neema ka launching date paas aa raha hai aur bohot tight shooting schedule lag raha hai. Lekin fir bhi jab kabhi bhi ham dono ko mauka milega ham jarur milenge aur celebrate karenge. Gifts bhi denge aur party bhi karenge.’
Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia aka Seher (Choti Sarrdaarni)
‘Rakhi is such a special celebration of the love between brothers and sisters! I always love to spend time and enjoy many laughs with my brothers on this day, but things will be different this year. My brothers are currently abroad and due to the current Covid situation, I won’t be able to tie them rakhi in person this year. But we will definitely connect on a video call and celebrate the occasion!’
