“Television has always showcased the powerful side of a woman” – Juhi Parmar

Known for always taking up unconventional roles on television over the years, actress Juhi Parmar has made a strong mark for herself as a versitile and diverse woman actor on the small screen with some memorable characters & shows to her credit.

Currently being seen as the loving and doting Renuka who goes to the extent of bearing a child of her own for her daughter in law who cannot bear a child on Zee TV’s Hamari Wali Good News, Juhi is breaking stereotypes again with another role and show which she has never experimented with before in her career as well as one which has not been showcased on screen before, bringing out the strong side of a woman once again through her character portrayal.

Always having been showcased as a strong woman character on screen, Juhi has successfully managed to maintain the streak of playing powerful roles throughout. On the personal front as well, Juhi feels that television has always been ruled by strong women roles, and shall continue to be like that in the years to come!

Speaking about her thoughts on women being prominent characters on television, Juhi shares,”I feel that TV is a medium which has always given more prominence to women and it is fairly large female centric medium which gives a lot of variety & opportunities to women to portray strong characters. Television has always showcased the powerful side of a woman, back in the old days and even now, it is steadily progressing day by day putting light on women in the best possible way! I have fortunately always had the chance to play some amazing strong headed and impactful roles throughout my career, highlighting the strength of a woman in a lovely manner, and I am grateful that being a part of Indian Television gave me the chance to do that!”.
