This Gandhi Jayanti Sony SAB artists share the values of Gandhi Ji that continue to inspire them

Mahatma Gandhi’s teachings continue to remain relevant through simple values such as truth, kindness, patience and standing up for what is right. On Gandhi Jayanti, Sony SAB artists Gulki Joshi, Manish Wadhwa, Muskaan Bamne and Toral Rasputra share the values they have learnt from his life and his teachings and how they try to carry them into their everyday lives.

From staying grounded and choosing kindness to believing in doing the right thing, the artists share the lessons that continue to hold meaning for them.

Gulki Joshi who essays Dr Srishty Agarwal in Sony SAB’s Yaadein shared, “One thing I really admire about Mahatma Gandhi is his belief in staying truthful and treating people with kindness. I feel these are simple values but they can make a big difference in the way we deal with people and situations in our everyday lives.”

Manish Wadhwa who essays Bhishma Pitamah in Hastinapur Ke Veer shared, “Gandhiji’s life reminds us that you can stand firm in what you believe in without losing your sense of humanity. For me Gandhiji’s teachings of peace and Abhaya (fearlessness) are very meaningful. I believe that having the courage to stand by what is right while choosing peace over conflict is something we can all learn from his life. For me his values of truth, simplicity and discipline are lessons that continue to be relevant even today.”

Muskaan Bamne who essays Shanaya in Pushpa Impossible shared, “What I find inspiring about Gandhiji is that he believed change could begin with something as simple as our own actions. I try to remind myself that being kind, patient and doing the right thing matters even in small everyday situations. He believed in kindness and non violence. I feel that choosing to respond with patience instead of anger is something we can all practise in our everyday lives”

Toral Rasputra who essays Kunti in Hastinapur Ke Veer shared, “For me Gandhiji’s biggest lesson is to stay true to yourself and your values, even when things around you are difficult. His life shows us that patience, courage and truth can make a lasting difference. I really admire his belief in simple living. His life reminds us that we don’t need too much to be happy and that staying grounded and being content with what we have can bring a different kind of peace.”
