Iqbal Khan shares how his love for dogs helps him bond with his daughters in real life as he welcomes a furry companion in Sony SAB’s Yaadein

Sony SAB’s Yaadein strikes a chord with audiences through its heartwarming storytelling, following Dr. Dev Mehta’s (Iqbal Khan) journey as he navigates emotions, evolving relationships and life-changing moments. Recently in the show, viewers witnessed an amusing yet emotional phase where OTP – a dog, becomes an unexpected source of comfort and healing for Dr. Dev’s daughter Gia (Harleen Rupani), bringing warmth and positivity into her life during a difficult time. Off-screen too, OTP quickly became everyone’s favourite on the Yaadein set, filling the atmosphere with playful energy and instantly brightening everyone’s mood between takes. For Iqbal Khan, this track felt especially close to him as he is a huge dog lover in real life. In real life too, Iqbal’s daughters are equally fond of dogs and their shared love for pets has always been a special bonding point for the family. Spending time with OTP on the sets reminded Iqbal of the joy and comfort dogs bring into their lives, making the experience even more memorable for him.

Talking about his love for dogs, Iqbal Khan shares, “My daughters and I really love dogs, so this track connected instantly. At home, we somehow always end up talking about dogs, whether we spot one outside or see videos online. There’s something very comforting and pure about them, and that’s exactly what we are showing as well. OTP was also such a joy to have on set. The moment he arrived everybody’s mood automatically became lighter and happier. Between shots, people would just gather around him and play with him.”
