From Dal Baati to Khatu Shyam Temple: Priya Thakur’s Unforgettable Jaipur Diaries

Zee TV’s Vasudha has been keeping viewers hooked with its gripping storyline and emotional depth. As the plot takes an exciting turn, Avinash (Ishankk Salluja) and Divya (Shubhanshi Raghuwanshi) finally confess their love to each other, while Vasudha (Priya Thakur) and Devansh (Abhishek Sharma) will try to expose Karishma’s (Pratiksha Rai) true motives. In a bid to stop Karishma and Avinash’s wedding, the four join forces, leading them to Divya’s ancestral home, where they aim to win over her father’s approval. To capture the essence of this crucial sequence, the cast and crew travelled to Jaipur, using the city’s breathtaking architecture and rich culture as a backdrop for the unfolding drama.

For lead actress Priya Thakur, this shoot was particularly special as it marked her first visit to the Pink City. Beyond the cameras and action, she took the opportunity to explore Jaipur, immersing herself in its vibrant heritage and traditions. From interacting with locals to picking up Rajasthani phrases, Priya made the most of her time in the city. A self-proclaimed foodie, she, along with Ishankk and Shubhanshi, indulged in authentic delicacies like Rajasthani Pyaaz Kachori, Dal Baati Churma and Chaat. That’s not it, she along with the cast visited the Shree Khatu Shyam Mandir, making their experience even more memorable.

Speaking about her shoot in Jaipur, Priya Thakur said, “Shooting in Jaipur was truly a magical experience. Bringing Vasudha’s story to life in Rajasthan while making unforgettable memories with my incredible cast and crew made it even more special. I had always heard about Jaipur’s amazing food, so as soon as I got to know that we’d be shooting there, I made a list of local dishes I wanted to try. Being a true foodie, I was excited to explore the city’s culinary gems. I explored Jaipur with my co-stars, indulged in Rajasthani favourites like Pyaaz Kachori, Dal Baati Churma, and Chaat, and experienced the serenity of Khatu Shyam Temple. The city’s vibrant energy, colorful markets, and historical landmarks left a lasting impression on all of us. What truly touched me was how locals welcomed us, shared stories about their city, and encouraged us to try new things — it was such a sweet and enriching experience.”

While the team soaked in the essence of Jaipur, their shared meals, sightseeing adventures, and fun-filled evenings strengthened their bond. As Vasudha, Devansh, and Avinash strive to win Divya’s father’s approval, will they succeed—or will Karishma’s manipulation prevail or will Avinash end up marrying Karishma?
