She added “Strength training, in particular, is crucial. While cardio has its benefits, building muscle is essential for long-term physical independence. Unfortunately, there’s a common misconception that strength training makes women look bulky, but that’s simply not true. It supports brain function, improves mental and emotional health. Fitness isn’t just about appearance, it’s about feeling your best, inside and out.”
