Bhuvan Bam Shares Valuable Insights on the Role of New-Age Cinema at the JFF 2024
The Jagran Film Festival (JFF), the world’s largest traveling film festival, made a remarkable grand opening at Delhi’s iconic Siri Fort Auditorium. With its tagline, “Good Cinema for Everyone,” JFF continues to serve as a dynamic platform for established and emerging filmmakers from around the globe, showcasing their work to diverse audiences. Renowned for its celebration of feature films, short films, documentaries, and more, the festival holds a prestigious place in the global film industry calendar.
In its 12th season, the festival featured a stellar lineup of collaborations with renowned artists through its In Conversation series. Among the highlights was a captivating Achievers Talk session featuring Bhuvan Bam, the multi-talented actor and content creator, moderated by Janice Sequeira.
Bhuvan Bam, who transitioned from being a YouTube sensation to a celebrated actor with millions of views for his OTT show Taaza Khabar, shared insights from his journey. Reflecting on his transition to mainstream acting, he shares_”The toughest part of my journey was convincing others that I had talent. Proving yourself is a challenge we all face, especially when stepping into something new. There’s a constant pressure to show that you belong, to break stereotypes, and to overcome doubts — both your own and those of others. But one thing I’ve learned is that if you can convince your parents, you don’t have to convince anyone else. They are your most honest critics, the ones who know you best, and their faith in you can be the strongest foundation for your dreams. Once you have their trust and support, it gives you the strength to face any challenge the world throws at you.”
