On one of the episodes of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 (KBC), the legendary actor and host of the show Amitabh Bachchan took a moment to acknowledge the brilliance of one of India’s greatest historical figures, Tenali Rama, the 16th-century poet, scholar, and court jester of King Krishnadevaraya’s Vijayanagara Empire.

Mr. Bachchan emphasized the timeless importance of intelligence and wit in Indian history.
