Amaal Mallik Reveals His First Sneaker Story, Working with Sonu Nigam on Ami Je Tomar and much More on Zee Café’s New Show Just Talk Sneakers

Amaal Mallik, the popular singer and music director behind the hit music of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, recently opened up on Zee Café’s new show Just Talk Sneakers. He shared his gratitude for being a part of such a legendary film franchise, especially reworking the iconic track originally composed by Pritam.

Amaal said on re-creating the iconic Ami Je Tomar, ”I feel really blessed to have had the opportunity to work on a film like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and to be a part of reworking two new versions of Ami Je Tomar. One version featured legends like Madhuri and Vidya in a dance face-off, while the other showcased Kartik’s incredible performance with vocals from the legendary Sonu Nigam. It was a proud moment for me to redo the song in my own style, and adding a new verse.”

Amaal also shared his personal sneaker journey, recalling how his first pair of sneakers was gifted by a friend. He fondly remembered, ”I still remember that memorable day when I was gifted my first pair of sneakers. I went to celebrate the success of my first track ‘Sooraj Dooba Hai’ to a club with my friends and surprisingly, the same track played in the club. It was a surreal experience. I danced my heart out in those sneakers. That song really changed everything for me.”

The versatile hitmaker also spoke about the unwavering support he receives from his fans, affectionately known as ‘Amaalians,’ who have kept his music close to their hearts. Despite facing health issues in 2019 and creating only a limited number of tracks in recent years, Amaal’s fans continue to listen to his past hits and eagerly await new music.
