On Indian Idol 15, ‘Idol Ke Multiverse Ki Rani’ – Ranjini takes the judges on a time-travelling journey of emotions

This weekend, the stakes are higher than ever on Sony Entertainment Television’s much loved singing reality show, ‘Indian Idol Season 15’ as the Top 15 contestants will sing their way to make it ahead in the show during the ‘Theatre Round.’ Judged by Vishal Dadlani, Shreya Ghoshal, and guest judge Neeti Mohan, the competition will be intense as each talent will try to outshine the other by bringing their best to the forefront. Top 15 mein jagah banane ke liye hogi contestants ki takraar; but it was “Idol ke Multiverse ki Rani” – Ranjini, who will captivate the judges and audience alike with her soulful rendition of “Acha Ji Main Haari” and her deeply personal reflections on time travel and mental health.

With judges Vishal Dadlani, Shreya Ghoshal, and guest judge Neeti Mohan by her side, Ranjini led a thought-provoking discussion, asking, “Agar aap log time travel kar sakte toh kaha jaana chahten?” Each judge’s unique answer sparked a moving dialogue about the power of the past, the future, and the people who shape us.

In response, Vishal shared that he’d travel forward in time, saying, “Agar jaana hi hai toh mein aage jaaunga, kyunki piche jaake koi fayda nahi hota,” explaining that his curiosity isn’t about knowing the future in a predictive sense. He added, “Otherwise, I’d be sitting with astrologers.”

Shreya, meanwhile, spoke of her nostalgic desire to revisit her childhood, longing to relive memories of her roots and upbringing.

Neeti’s answer took a more philosophical turn, as she connected time travel to the concept of parallel universes. Inspired by the movie Interstellar, Neeti shared, “I found this concept really interesting… I would love to be in that parallel universe where I can still be with the people I’ve lost.” Her vision of a reality where love transcends dimensions moved everyone, reminding audiences of the emotional bonds that never fade.

The most heartfelt moment of the evening, however, belonged to Ranjini herself. With touching vulnerability, she expressed her wish to go back to October 14th, 2014, the date of her father’s passing. “Mein vaha jaake unko hug karke bolna chahungi, we are very proud of you and we are with you.” She spoke about her journey, acknowledging the importance of mental health and resilience. “I love my journey,” she affirmed, highlighting that mental health is essential, especially for artists who experience profound ups and downs.

Moved by her strength, the judges were full of admiration. Vishal, impressed by Ranjini’s courage, remarked, “There are many singers, and they are all good, but you are my favorite contestant so far in this show because you are putting your feelings out there without losing control. Your intellect is intact, your mental health is strong. You are an example for all of us.”
