From being a Li’l Champ to hosting the new season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, life has come full circle for Salman Ali

Zee TV’s iconic singing reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, is back with a brand-new season, featuring an all-new panel of mentors – Sachin-Jigar, Sachet-Parampara, Guru Randhawa, showcasing some of India’s finest emerging voices in this edition themed Nayi Aawaaz, Naya Andaaz. This season, alongside the host Vipul Roy, the promising runner-up of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs 2011- Salman Ali will be seen co-hosting the show.

Salman started his journey as a Li’l Champs contestant in 2011, and after that in 2021, he was seen as a part of one of the teams in the show- Indian Pro Music League. But for the first time, he will be seen co-hosting the show. In a recent episode, Salman made a surprising entry as a contestant, however, soon after his performance to the song ‘Mast Qalandar’, mentor Sachet asked him to anchor the show with Vipul Roy since he is such a great singer. Accepting the offer, Salman said “Jo Jijaji bolenge, woh main karunga.”

Talking about his journey from a contestant to the host, Salman said, “Never in my life, I thought that one day I would host this show. I started my journey as a contestant on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs in 2011 and today, after 13 years, I have this opportunity to host the show, this is genuinely a big leap in my career. Ever since I was a contestant, I used to imagine how I would host if I ever get a chance, and today when I am getting to do that, I feel like life has come full circle. I am genuinely very happy and grateful, and I thank Sa Re Ga Ma Pa for fulfilling my dream.”
