COLORS’ ‘Mishri’ lead Shruti Bisht talks about shooting in Mathura and bond with co-star Megha Chakraborty
Actor Shruti Bisht has found an unexpected treat on the sets of COLORS’ upcoming show ‘Mishri,’ discovering an elder sister in co-star Megha Chakraborty. ‘Mishri’ promises a heartwarming tale of three individuals bringing sweetness to each other’s lives amidst life’s sour lemons, and it seems the cast didn’t wait for the cameras to roll to bond. The show, set to sprinkle much-needed sweetness on our television screens, tells the heartfelt story of a young girl in Mathura, beloved for her luck-bringing charm but burdened by a tough life with her controlling aunt. Bound by gratitude and a secret marriage to Raghav (played by Namish Taneja), Mishri (played by Shruti Bisht) sees Vaani (Megha Chakraborty), Raghav’s ex-fiancée as a sister. Despite her struggles, Mishri remains determined to keep their marriage hidden to protect her loved ones. Shruti’s friendship with Megha is fortuitous, proving how life on set is imitating art in the most delectable way possible.
Shruti Bhist essaying the role of Mishri shares, “Megha and I share a truly special bond. From the moment we met, there was this instant connection. She’s not just a colleague, but an elder sister to me who understands me in ways few people do. It’s a pleasure to work with her and she constantly supports and inspires me to do my best. We laugh together, support each other through tough times, and celebrate each other’s successes. Our bond goes beyond work; it’s a friendship built on trust, respect, and a lot of shared memories. I hope our camaraderie translates onto the screen and people will love seeing us.”
‘Mishri’ will premiere on July 3rd and thereafter will air every Mon-Fri at 8:30 pm only on COLORS.
