Zareen Khan is filled with joy as ‘Housefull 2’ clocks 12 years of its release

As Housefull 2’ clocks 12 years of its release, Zareen Khan revisited her experience of filming the comic caper, which marked the actress’ first attempt at comedy after featuring in period-drama ‘Veer’ as a princess. The film saw Zareen carrying the part of JLo effortlessly. She received appreciation for commanding presence with her true-blue glamorous Bollywood heroine avatar.

She created a lasting impact with her short yet pivotal role as JLo in the film, which witnessed box office success by earning an estimated amount of Rs 186 crore worldwide. It was also one of the highest-grossing films of 2012.

Speaking about the film, Zareen said, “’Housefull 2’ is very close to my heart. Think about it, a wonderful opportunity to be in such a successful franchise with an amazing star cast right after my first film! So, I feel very fortunate. And in times when people tend to forget a film just after its release weekend, this film stood the test of time and continues to entertain the audience even today. It is nothing short of a blessing to be part of a film that had the audience laughing their hearts out.”
