Ruma Sharma opens up about being part of Honey Trap Squad

Actress Ruma Sharma, who is part of the web series Honey Trap Squad, says that she loves playing her character of Bebo Kapoor. The actress adds that there is a very interesting story behind her character being named Bebo Kapoor.

“I am playing a character that is exactly the way I am in real life. I have been a Kareena Kapoor Khan fan since my childhood. My character Bebo is smart, bubbly, and intelligent. When we started shooting the first scene, my intro song was Bebo Main Bebo! And seeing me perform and act in the song, my director immediately decided to name my character Bebo Kapoor!” she says.

She adds, “In real life and in reel life, I am the same person; cute, smart, and bubbly. Even Bebo Kapoor is very smart, bubbly, and passionate about her work. Whatever target she’s been given, she does it with great passion. Playing a character that is so similar to you real life is fun!”

She says that she loved being part of the show. “This is my first web show and it’s a thriller show. I am really thankful to Santosh Gupta who is the founder of Made in India Pictures. I really want to thank him for giving me this chance and I was really excited to play this character as this was my first show. This show is quite different from other shows on the web today. It has love, drama, suspense, thriller, so many flavours in one show. This is not a typical love story sort of show. The last scene was shot in Dubai it was real hard work and all the credit goes to the team,” she says.

She adds, “Everyone was very good and it was such a fun shoot. It didn’t feel like we were acting, it felt like we were chilling on the sets. We had fun shooting. I was chilling with the rest of the team. Every co-actor was very supportive and cooperative.”

Talking about her future plans, she says, “I believe in being a versatile actor. I am okay with any type of role as long as I get to experiment. I am an NSD student and we are taught to that playing every character. I haven’t really thought of specific roles and I would like to explore every kind of role that comes my way. There are two projects in the pipeline. One is a music video and the other is a web series. Hopefully, these will release soon. I am looking forward to more good work as an actor and also I am open to do a TV show hoping to be with Balaji and Ekta Kapoor ma’am.”
