Auroshikha Dey to star in remake of Prabhas and S.S Rajamouli’s Chatrapathi

Actress Auroshikha Dey who has previously worked in films like ‘Ye Hosla’, ‘Charlie ke Chakkar mein’ and ‘The Warrior Queen of Jhansi’ among others will now be seen in Chhatrapati, the remake of
SS Rajamouli’s 2005 film starring Prabhas. The film marks the Bollywood debut of Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and co-stars Nussratt Bharucha.

Auroshikha, who is known for winning the Vesuvius International Film Festival Best Actress jury award for her film ‘Lomad’, the world’s first One-take film, plays the role of a blind woman in the movie. The actress walked around with a blindfold to get the character’s mannerisms right and the result of her dedication is out for all to see.

Speaking about the upcoming film that releases on 12th May, Auroshika says, “I’m thrilled to have worked with such a talented cast and crew in Chhatrapati. The character I play is visually impaired and i had to work on getting the nuances right which only pushes me as an actor. I’m happy with the overall outcome and can’t wait to see the audience’s reaction.” she says.

Apart from Chhatrapati, Auroshikha is currently shooting for an international film titled ‘Shameless’ and will soon be seen in a web series on MX Player.
