Bhagyalakshmi fame Bebika Dhurve talks about Gudi Padwa, says, “I have started an entire life in the UAE, away from my land, so Gudi Padwa has been a special sign to me by the universe”

Bebika Dhurve is a gorgeous Indian actress who has successfully made it to the small screen with her talent and hard work. Apart from this she is also a great model and has made it to Miss India 2020 top 15 stages. Bebika is popular for her stint as Devika Oberoi in the daily soap Bhagyalakshmi. The actress morally belongs to a Maharashtrian family, and Gudi Padwa is the day known as the beginning of a new year according to Hindu mythology.

While talking about the importance of this festival, Bebika says, “Gudi Padwa in Maharashtra and Yugadi in Karnataka, for me, it marked the commencement of spring, the new year, and new beginnings. It is a festival signifying that Lord Brahma created the universe and time. I make sure that on Gudi Padwa, I grow as a new, evolved person. I have started an entire life in the UAE, away from my land, so Gudi Padwa has been a special sign to me by the universe. I will celebrate it wholeheartedly with my friends here.”

Spilling more beans about Gudi Padwa, Bebika says, “We Maharashtrians celebrate Gudi Padwa with love and integrity. My mother and grandmother used to prepare the Padwa dvaja, a plate decorated with silk cloth, neem leaves, mango garlands, a copper vessel, worship, and dance, and they had the saying, ‘Gudi Padwa neet bol Wadhwa.’ We used to tell each other this and laugh.”

Meanwhile, Bebika Dhurve recently bagged an international project for which she’s busy shooting in Dubai; more updates are expected to arrive shortly.
