Yo Yo Honey Singh’s Actress Aparna Nayr On North-South Debate, Censorship on OTT: “I Love The…”

Middle Eastern beauty Aparna Nayr impressed the audience with her act in Kanna Vich Waaliyaa, which released last month. The song, which has been crooned by Honey Singh and Hommie Dilliwala has received an amazing response from the audience. From speaking about her shift to Bollywood to expressing her interest in working in OTT, Aparna spilled the beans on different things. She also spoke about the North-South debate, stating that she is keen to work in the entertainment industry and language doesn’t matter for her.

The Kanna Vich Waaliyaa actress expressed, “I’m always looking out for new opportunities and experiences. Being Indian myself, and having grown up watching Indian cinema, the transition seemed natural to me. That being said, the Middle East will always be a part of my work and life, I don’t plan on leaving it behind”

Talking about OTT and the movies she would prefer doing, Aparna says, “I love the doors that OTT has opened up for content. It allows filmmakers and actors to venture out into stories that would have been considered too “niche” for mainstream cinema. I’m a sucker for stories. At this stage, I would depend on the story and the director’s vision to pick a project and not pay too much attention to the mode of release. Action, romance, and crime/thriller are my top 3 genres as an audience. So I would like to see myself involved in projects that I too would look forward to watching on any given day”

The actress further weighs in on the north vs south debate and says, “I think cinema is universal. Today, we have access to movies from around the world, and we have the palate to consume these varied pieces of art. For me it’s not a matter or picking between North and South cinema. They are unique and rooted in their own ways and I would love to be able to contribute with the character I’m asked to play in every circumstance”

We definitely can’t wait to see Aparna Nayr on screen and amaze the audience with her stunning performance. Stay tuned for more updates.
