I understand Dilpreet’s emotions because my son Arjun will travel to a new country soon: Pankaj Berry who plays a desolated father Dilpreet in Sony SAB’s Dil Diyaan Gallaan

Sony SAB’s new show Dil Diyaan Gallaan, which premieres on December 12th tells the story of families who are separated by physical and emotional distances. The show depicts the growing apart of families caused by migration and disputes that develop over time. Mandeep (Played by Sandeep Baswana) and Dilpreet (Played by Pankaj Berry) portray two strong-headed individuals in the show. Mandeep’s decision to settle in a new country to follow his dreams causes conflict between him and his father (Dilpreet) souring relationships amongst the family.

Actor Pankaj Berry is a prominent name in the entertainment industry, having many successful shows under his belt. In Sony SAB’s upcoming show, he will play the role of Dilpreet, an egoistic and confident senior man who is also emotional because his eldest son has failed his expectations. Identical to the plot, in real life, too, Pankaj’s son (Arjun Berry) is said to be travelling to Canada for further studies and he is about to go through the same ordeal as his character in the show. Experiencing the story in real life has undoubtedly provided the actor with a new perspective on the character’s nuances.

In a recent conversation with actor Pankaj Berry, he shares, “I understand Dilpreet’s feelings because my son Arjun will travel to a new country soon to pursue higher education. The agony of seeing your beloved child leave you is something that many parents fear. I believe it is critical to have conversations with your children to understand their interests and all we can do as parents is to be supportive. In the show, we hope to highlight the unspoken feelings that lead to a rift between family. I can understand and relate to Dilpreet completely as I am going through a similar situation in my personal life with my son moving abroad.”
