This Wednesday, contestant Varsha Chopda makes everyone smile by showcasing how ‘Paani Puri’ strengthens her bond with her mother-in-law!

Bringing alive the sweet bond of a mother-in-law and a daughter-in-law, on 30th November and 1st December at 9:00 PM, Sony Entertainment Television’s ‘knowledge-based’ gameshow, Kaun Banega Crorepati – Season 14’s ‘Golden Week’ will see contestant Varsha Chopda, a tuition teacher from Chikhli, Maharashtra grace the hotseat. Showcasing a strong bond, the contestant will have her mother-in-law seated as her companion. What’s special is the fact that the mother-in-law, Kanta Chopda will proudly talk about how Varsha is not just a daughter-in-law but more like her own daughter. In a humorous turn of events, Varsha will be seen making host of the show, Mr Amitabh Bachchan chuckle as she intently talks about how she and her mother-in-law bond over, ‘paani-puris!’

‘Happy-go-lucky’ would be the perfect way to describe Varsha whose laughter would bring smiles to everyone. Coming onto the hotseat Varsha would uniquely comment how the “hotseat” is the “coldseat” and the Fastest Finger First seats should be called “hotseat”, making Mr Bachchan laugh. When the host would question Kanta Ji, her companion about her daughter-in-law’s best quality she would reply, “Bahu kam aur beti zyada hai (she is less our daughter-in-law, more our daughter). I am proud that Varsha is my daughter-in-law”, talking about how Varsha takes care of the family and the household and leaves Kanta Ji tension free.

Varsha would then talk about how she and her mother-in-law often go to eat paani-puri regardless of occasion to chat and have a good time, “Paani-puri is such a dish in our life! Whether we are sad or feel like we are at the top of the world, mummy and I go to eat paani-puri. Even if we do not have the mood to do anything, I take out my activa, take mummy and go eat paani puri. Now that I am on the hotseat, the first thing I will do afterwards is go eat paani-puri with mummy. It is the best thing that we enjoy because paani-puri, sir if you notice, tastes exactly like your mood. If you are very happy, it will taste spicy and sweet and sour, if your mood is very sad then the paani puri tastes sweet and not that good. This is our common routine! We go and have paani puri and there is one rule with the person giving us the puris, he cannot stop. Till we say “stop” he does not and so we keep eating without a care for what will happen next.” An astonished Mr Bachchan would then ask if the mood desires to talk too much then what should one do to which the contestant would reply that they should have paani-puri, citing the fact that her mother-in-law and she often do so because her husband and father-in-law do not have the gift of the gab. Varsha would be prouly declaring that her mother-in-law knows everything about her life.

The contestant would also be talking about her family life, especially her son Vashisht and how she “invests” her time in his upbringing. A source close to set said that Big B was mighty impressed by the word she used for nurturing her child, “Mr Bachchan was happy that Varsha ji used the word “invest” when talking about spending time with her child and he said you used a very good word when you said “I invest my time with Vashisht”. He said that the word was used beautifully and commended Varsha ji that she invests her time in her child. He said you will get interest later when you invest in him now.” Varsha and Mr Bachchan would talk about children and how they are no less than sportspersons with the kind of energy they have in their little bodies.

Tune in to watch Varsha Chopda on the hotseat on Wednesday and Thursday, 30th November and 1st December on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati-14’ at 9 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.
