Lyricists Swanand Kirkire and Neelesh Misra talk about their accidental collaboration for a song on The Kapil Sharma Show

In conversation with host Kapil Sharma, Swanand Kirkire, a three-time National Award Winner lyricist and actor talks about interesting collaborations & reveals how his and Neelesh Misra’s accidental collaboration happened. Swanand shares, “There is one song of mine and Neelesh where ‘misra’ is his and ‘antara’ is mine. It was such a game of luck that we have a joint credit for the song. It so happened that the music director narrated the song somewhere else and we both (Swanand and Neelesh) had written parts of the song and he combined it together and sold it to the third person (laughs) and we had no idea about this.”

Adding on to Swanand’s remarks Neelesh further continues saying, “When we got the credit that time I got a call saying yours and Swanand’s names are going in credit and I was like remove my name & I know Swanand must have also done the same but they were like now it’s done.”
