DG Prisons of Nagaland, Rupin Sharma enthrals Mr Amitabh Bachchan with his tales of bravery and amazing gameplay on Sony TV’s Kaun Banega Crorepati – Season 14

The recent instalment of Sony Entertainment Television’s knowledge-based gameshow, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ – Season 14 has had many contestants grace the hotseat until now. Impressing host, Mr Amitabh Bachchan with their intelligence, some of the contestants have taken home big wins. In tonight’s episode, sitting opposite the host and playing the game will be Nagaland’s D.G. (Deputy General) Prisons, Home Guards, Civil Defence and SDRF (State Disaster Response Force), Mr Rupin Sharma. The 55-year-old contestant will be playing with amazing composure and presence of mind and also be indulging the host in some very interesting conversations about his life as an IPS officer.

Breaking the ice, the contestant would be talking about the state of Nagaland, gushing about its beauty and inviting the Bollywood industry to come and shoot films in the laps of its beautiful geography. He would be presenting a special Naga scarf to the host which he would be wearing for the entirety of the episode. Rupin Sharma would then be emotionally surprised by a video of the people of Nagaland thanking him for his service in the state, among whom will also be State President, Temjen Imna Along Longkumer. The conversations would also divert toward Mr Bachchan’s son, Abhishek Bachchan whose film ‘Dasvi’ would be discussed concerning reformation in prisons. Rupin Sharma would then hilariously commend Abhishek Bachchan on being a better actor than his father, with Big B agreeing. Talking about the more serious side of being in the force, Rupin Sharma would also narrate harrowing incidents like the nabbing of a terrorist.

Living the experience of being on the show, Rupin Sharma shared, “It was a very surreal but livid experience of being on the show and interacting with none other than the living legend, Mr Bachchan. I have been a fan of the show for many years and the fact that I got to play and win is a huge matter for me and my family. Talking about my life in the force, about Nagaland and Naga culture and the people of Nagaland with Mr Bachchan made me realise how humble and intent a listener he is. The response from the audience and crowd was overwhelming and promos about my presence at the show were enlightening and surprising for friends. Some friends are still getting used to the show.
