Superstar Singer 2 contestant received a special gift from the evergreen beauty Asha Parekh ji

Sony Entertainment Television’s homegrown kids singing reality show, Superstar Singer 2 has witnessed extraordinary young singing talent on the coveted stage week on week! Ever since the start of the season, the show has got the viewers hooked with melodious performances the contestants a.k.a the ‘Best Bache Ever’ put forward. And, this weekend, the show will welcome the yesteryear actress and timeless beauty who has and continues to win millions of hearts, Asha Parekh ji. The contestants will pay a befitting tribute to the evergreen actress of Bollywood as they will be seen performing some of her iconic songs this Saturday in the ‘Asha Parekh’ special episode.

Young lad, contestant Mohammad Faiz will be seen giving yet another mesmerizing performance on Asha Parekh’s evergreen songs – ‘Sau saal pehle mujhe tumse pyaar tha’, ‘Ye Jo Mohabbat hai’ and ‘Aaja aaja’. Watching Faiz’s performance, Captain Salman Ali and Mohd Danish will not be able to resist joining Faiz on stage. A delighted Asha Ji will be seen enjoying Faiz’s performance. Impressed by his outstanding singing, Asha Ji will compliment Faiz for singing all the songs amazingly but for also singing her Dev Anand’s song ‘Sau Saal Pehle’ which one of her favourite numbers. She will also be seen giving a nickname to Faiz calling him ‘Chota Dev Anand’ and gift him a scarf.

His performance will also take Asha Parekh on a nostalgic ride as she will be seen praising Waheeda ji and Dev Anand ji’s on-screen chemistry in the movie ‘Guide’ and will express her wish of recreating the song ‘Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna Hai’. Asha Ji will take the stage by storm when she will be seen performing to this song along with the contestant Mohd Faiz.
