5 smashing dialogues on ALTBalaji that we won’t ever forget!

India’s homegrown digital platform ALTBalaji, celebrates 5 glorious years of delivering pathbreaking content has broken viewership records. But, the memorable dialogues, spellbinding stories and complex, entertaining characters have stayed with viewers. Here’s looking at some of the best dialogues over the past five years which went viral and create a major buzz among audiences.

1.       Bichhoo Ka Khel: The firebrand show had some of the most memorable lines ever uttered in a web series. Earthy and spoken from the gut, they gave the viewers a proper feel of the hinterlands of Uttar Pradesh. The crime drama featuring Divyenndu Sharma as the antagonist and Syed Zeeshan Qadri had several powerful moments. Qadri uttered one dialogue though that went viral as the cop who says, “Beta hum Uttar Pradesh police hai…ghadi ghadi palta dete hai”

2.       Broken But Beautiful Season 1: The romantic drama featuring Veer and Sameera played by Vikrant Massey and Harleen Sethi showed us the real side of modern love. It showed the many facets of love and how modern-day relationships are layered and complex. With dialogues like, “Tute tute tukdo ko Samet ke mujhe wapas joda gya hai shayad isliye main baar baar bikhar jata hoon.”

3.       Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain: Ronit Roy as Rohit and Mona Singh as Ananya’s mature yet heady love story was as lyrical as it was poignant. Featuring some timeless music and shayari’s, the series is a classic. The show quoted some eternal shayaris by Indian literary giants. One of the dialogues that caught everyone’s attention was written by the legendary poet Harivansh Rai Bachcan- “Kabhi phoolon ki tarha mat jeena, jis din khiloge, bikhar jaaoge. Jeena hai toh patthar ban ke jeeyo, kisi din tarashe gaye toh khuda ban jaoge.”

4.       Main Hero Boll Raha Hu: The gangland web series chronicled the rise of Parth Samathaan aka Nawab as a dreaded gangster and his love story with Laila played by Patralekha Paul in the backdrop of Mumbai in the 80’s-90’s era. From being a hot-headed boy to being a ruthless gangster who is always calm and composed, Nawab’s lines are uttered with a cold-blooded sincerity. The line, “Saboot Kamzor log dete hai. Taakatwar ke hausle hi kaafi hai,” was chillingly impressive.

5. Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala

The feisty, short-tempered chef Nitya Sharma played by Divyanka Tripathi in Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala is a woman you can mess with! Not one to suffer fools, she gives it back to irksome customers in her own special style. The line ‘Aao toh welcome, jao toh bheed kam’ matched her character’s firebrand attitude and was much-loved by viewers, resulting in the becoming a viral meme on social media.
