Last week was one that witnessed a landmark moment for Amazon miniTV and Sikhya Entertainment’s short film ‘Shimmy’. Directed by Disha Rindani and featuring Pratik Gandhi in the lead, the short film premiered exclusively on Amazon miniTV and is available to stream on the service for absolutely free.
The film opened to critics and audiences applauding the short film for brilliantly capturing a sensitive narrative within a sharp period of time. However, as the statement goes that, good work never settles, Shimmy too is still making good noise for itself. In a latest development, the esteemed jury of Critics Choice Awards nominated Shimmy for the ‘Best Film’ Category, Pratik Gandhi for ‘Best Actor’ Category and Disha Rindani for ‘Best Writer’ Category along with Jai Mehta.
