Many filmmakers’ most ambitious projects are on the horizon of release next year, thus the palpable anticipation for the new cine-term. From a larger-than-life action-drama to venturing into the tricky space of horror-comedy – we have some of the most hair-raising line-ups ahead.

Here’s looking at four filmmakers who have already hooked us to our screens with their announcements –

1) Faruk Kabir
Touted as one of the most inspiring filmmakers, Faruk Kabir has Khuda Haafiz: Chapter II – Agni Pariksha due for 2022. The sequel to the 2020 blockbuster, the film already promises to feature a never-before-seen action drama on screen.

2) Aditya Dhar
Aditya Dhar, who made the biggest hit of 2019 and bagged a National Film Award for URI: The Surgical Strike, is working on one of the most monumental projects, The Immortal Ashwatthama. The trilogy is a superhero action film set in modern times.

3) Ayan Mukerji
Known for his modern sensibilities as a filmmaker, Ayan Mukerji has finally announced the release date of his most-awaited project, Brahmastra. The motion poster of the film has already stirred the internet. It was part one of three.

4) Amar Kaushik
Hailed for his exciting takes in films like Bala and Stree, Amar Kaushik is all set to take the audience on a horror-comedy journey with Bhediya. Bringing the suspense and laughter of Stree back, the film stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles.
