*Ram Charan opens up about working industry stalwarts like SS Rajamouli in RRR, R Shankar for RC 15 and his father Chiranjeevi in Acharya! *
If there is one actor whose slate is worth praises, it is that of Ram Charan. The dapper Mega Power Star as he is fondly known is gearing up for the release of the much awaited magnum opus, SS Rajamouli’s RRR with Jr NTR, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt followed by yet another film that the audiences are excited to see, Acharya wherein he will be seen for the first time in a full fledged role with his father, Mega Star Chiranjeevi. Not only that, he has also been working on Shankar’s next film, RC 15 opposite Kiara Advani.
Opening up about the impressive line up of films ahead and the experience of working in RRR, Ram Charan spoke with an international publication and stated that, “Any actor on the set gets to learn a lot from him (SS Rajamouli). It can be about the character, it can be about his work ethics, his dedication. It’s a lovely working experience. I think he’s gone leaps and bounds and he’s the number one director now in pan India, and just to work with him again is such a pleasure.”
When it comes to working with yet another industry legend, S Shankar, Ram Charan adds that, “Working with him is an experience and like his films we see on screen. More than an actor I think I’m like a fanboy moment slash actor on this set. It’s amazing to see how he works. And just to be seen in his film, in his script. It’s a pleasure. Absolute pleasure.”
Coming to acting with his father, that too in a film he is producing under Konidela Production Company, Ram Charan affirms that, ““I would say acting with a man who’s really done 40 years in this field and 150 films plus is intimidating. It’s more than just acting with my father. Working with thousands of actors in his career, he makes you feel so comfortable and really complements you as a person. And it’s so easy to be intimidated by those personalities. But as much as he is my father, he is a completely new person when he finishes his makeup and is out of his caravan in his costume. It’s a beautiful experience. It’s a learning experience. It initially started off as a guest appearance, but it evolved into a much larger character and I’m really happy director Siva has given me this beautiful opportunity. It’s well designed, it’s not some commercial flick fictional thing – it’s so real. It’s so gritty and [has] a lot of scope for performance. This is probably the perfect combo you want to see a father and son and not some colorful songs and comedy.”
RRR, Acharya and RC 15, 2022-23 is surely going to be the year of the Pan India Mega Power Star, RAM CHARAN!
