Ram Madhvani & the star-cast connect virtually to share shoot memories and their anticipation for the coveted award!

Disney+ Hotstar, India’s largest premium streaming platform showcased Hotstar Specials’ Aarya, last year and was loved by viewers all over. The critically acclaimed series scored a nomination in the prestigious category of the Best Drama Series of 2021 at the 49th International Emmy Awards. Created by the uber talented Ram Madhvani, the series is an official adaptation of Penoza by NL Film (Banijay Group) and has been co-produced by Endemol Shine India and Ram Madhvani films. The series unravels a mother’s journey to save her children and family after the sudden demise of her husband. A day before the award ceremony, Ram Madhvani connected with the entire team of Aarya 1 & 2 virtually, wherein they shared stories and cheered for each other and shared excitement for the upcoming Emmy awards ceremony.

Throughout the hour-long session, the entire team regaled each other with memories from the shoot that have stayed with them. They also discussed their celebration plans of what to do, once they got to know about the official announcement of Aarya winning the Emmy award. Aarya has created history by winning the coveted nomination at the Emmy already, making it one of the most historic moments for India’s OTT industry, Disney+ Hotstar being an integral part of this success narrative. A visibly excited Ram Madhvani shared, “ We are truly hoping that we win the Emmy award, and even if we don’t, it’s a big thing to be nominated! Because we’re all here personally, all of us together and with wishes from everybody out there, who made this happen – Thank you! It wouldn’t have happened without your wishes, because the way we worked it’s like a miracle from God which made us come so far. This was also possible because of our writer and the ‘Dialogue Baazi’, the game of dialogues with an Indian touch to it, which we have in the show.”

Adding to the joyful session, Chandrachur Singh said, “Aarya is a labour of love. I am honored to be a part of this series. I got to debut on OTT with Aarya.
