Mumbai, 24th September: One of the grandest events in the media and entertainment
space, culminated successfully as Promax India hosted the 3-day event filled with
fantastic discussions on incredible topics, that opened a new perspective for many.
Attended by prominent global speakers, the ‘Art of Pivot’: Promax India Virtual 2021
- Conference & Awards featured multiple conversations on enthralling topics targeting
creativity, challenges and how to adapt and evolve through the new normal.
While the first 2 days witnessed speakers, including Vikki Stephenson, Kellie Brown,
Anshul Ailawadi, Eoin Mclaughlin and Anna Godunova, shedding light via insightful
sessions, the 3rd and final day saw Nick Mcfarlane of Raydar/ Proximity New
Zealand, sharing his perspective on the topic ‘Hunting the Killer Idea’, as he
emphasized on how you can create ideas, that stand out from the rest, by just looking
around. He focused on the central thought that with ideas always revolving all around
you, all that’s needed is for you to be brave enough to identify them and put together a
concept that relates, and is tailor-made, to your brand.
Following this, was the Fireside session on ‘Woman Changemakers’ by Apurva
Purohit- Aazol Ventures Private Limited and Tanvi Shukla, News Editor at Mirror
Now. They spoke about the challenges women face at the workplace and shared their
experiences in different work cultures. Furthermore, they expressed how women need
to be more vocal in terms of standing up for themselves and believe in themselves to
grow up through the odds. This was followed by Rob Middleton – Creative Director at
Astro’s Network presented some of the key projects at World Gold and stated how
important it is to keep calm during situations like the recent pandemic. He stated why
professionals need to stay focused in the present surroundings. He explained that the
past year had given rise to a new normal and was a perfect time for oneself to invest and
utilize the time in upgrading their skills.
‘This year the Promax theme, ‘Art of Pivot’ was apt with sessions being more about
engaging and insightful. Through the pandemic, we all had to Pivot in one way or
another and while we were faced with many challenges in the workplace, this also led to
far more creative ideas. Throughout all of the sessions, one sentiment remains the same:
creativity is best applied when it engages customers and super-serves their needs.
Nothing can replicate a brilliantly simple consumer insight. As we move forward,
Creativity will speak with greater relevance to people on an individual level, to help
drive a more personalised experience. The Promax Awards is a culmination of all the
hard work and creativity and we look forward to seeing how we continue to Pivot and
transform as we move forward’, says Rajika Mittra, Country Head & Strategic
Partnerships (india, Hong Kong & Phillippines)
The 3 day ‘Art of Pivot’ Promax India Virtual 2021 Conference & Awards concluded
