‘Empathy is the desire to see others free of suffering’, says Mahesh Thakur from Mere Sai: Shraddha Aur Saburi
Sony Entertainment Television’s Mere Sai: Shraddha Aur Saburi is a show that brings to the viewers the profound stories of Sai Baba and how he uses his divinity to aid those in need at all times. In the ongoing track, well-known television personality Mahesh Thakur, who portrays the role of Govind Raghunath Dabholkar, has travelled to Shridi for personal reasons and meets Sai (Tushar Dalvi). Upon meeting him, he gets highly inspired by Sai Baba’s divinity, despite his opposition to, ‘Fakirism’.
Highlighting the significance of empathy in a human’s existence, Mahesh Thakur says, “Empathy is like a yearning to see others free of sadness and sorrow. Sai Baba’s divinity inspired a lot of people by aiding them nobly and always standing up for them selflessly. The most powerful, least expensive, and undervalued agent of human change is unexpected kindness.”
He further adds, “Compassion and empathy, in my opinion, are two separate units. They do, however, go hand in hand. There can be no compassion without empathy, and one cannot empathize without having experienced compassion.”
In the current track, viewers will learn how Sai Baba will help Govind Dabholkar overcome his nightmares and fear of insects and scorpions. Not only that, Sai Baba will also be instrumental in teaching him the importance of being kind and empathetic to others.
Watch Mere Sai: Shraddha aur Saburi every Monday to Friday, at 7:00 PM only on Sony Entertainment Television
