Investment banker turned singer/composer Kapil Rauunak speaks about his journey, experience, his song Deva and more

How does it feel on being part of the industry especially during festive season?

Well its always a privilege to be part of the industry .moreover during festive seasons it makes more special as we as an artist gets ample opportunities to showcase our talents

What were your feelings while recording for this auspicious song?

Well my connect with Lord Ganesha is very special since I landed in mumbai with just 2k , he took care of me all these years and blessed me with this brilliant song as a composer singer songwriter

What made you realise that music is something you should give a try on ?

Every one has some or other talent its just that how and when u self realize . while I was studying CA that time only I realized that I have a good prospects in music

Were there any sort of comments or reaction that you faced when stepping into music industry from being an investment banker ?

I m still an Investment Banker , yes at times its difficult to manage and warrant you for extraordinary efforts n passion during your weekends

You have started your singing career with Alka Yagnik – please share a gist of it

Yes my first album with her came in 2009 for a duet album “Lories” it was relaxed thru times Music and was sponsored by J&J, it was so successful that it made won award not only to J&J but also gave us opportunity to record volume 2-3

How was it for you to bagged this song ?

Well during lockdown I wrote a song and shared with music labels , finally ended up where in CMS records decided to record the song

What are your plans for this festive season ?

Oct 1 week my another grand song on Garbha is coming post that on Diwali my Hanuman Chalisa the best ever grand Chalisa will be relaxed which has been done with Genius Tanishk Baghchi

What are your upcoming plans ?

My target is to create a benchmark in the industry with some trendsetting music for today’s youth

Should we take this, as you’re stepping full time into music industry ?
Well I don’t believe in planning the future too much ,my focus is in the present and that will automatically put me to the right destination.

I would like to inspire all working professionals to work on their passion and hidden talent , life without passion and art is incomplete art can be in any form. Being a CA MBA investment Banker and adding up to that tally as Composer singer songwriter is a great feeling and I humbly want to thank all for believing in me and my talent.
